The Ministry is to, among others initiate, formulate and implement policies and programs relating to policing and internal security as well as to provide supervision and administrative support to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Police Academy (POLAC) and the newly established Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF).

The mission and focus of the Procurement Department is to understand business requirements, procures Goods, Works and Services at the best cost from the source at the right specification that meets the users’ need in the right quantity, for delivery at the right time to achieve the Ministry’s goals and objectives.

  • Disposes all unserviceable items of the Ministry.
  • Keeps all procurement records of the Ministry.
