Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, Commissions Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Pensions Limited Head Office Building, Abuja
President Mohammadu Buhari has commissioned the NPF Pensions Limited Head office building in Abuja, Tuesday, 20th October, 2020.
Speaking virtually at the grand event, Buhari said that the achievement is a milestone for Nigeria as it’s significant to the enhancement of the welfare of the men of the Police Force for efficiency and effectiveness. He said the facility which is for both serving and retired men of the police force, was brought into being through internally generated revenue. The Hon. Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi who represented the President at the occasion unveiled and commissioned the building.
In his short speech, the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed said that there is a renewed impetus to render quality service to the Men of the Police Force, adding their welfare will boost productivity and service delivery
Speaking earlier at the commissioning, the Chairman, Board of Directors NPF Pensions Limited, IGP Suleiman Abba, in his opening remark said that the NPF Pensions has taken with great importance the issue of bringing pension services and welfare benefits to the door-steps of its client (the Nigeria Police Force). Abba said, “the commissioning of this edifice today, therefore, represents a great milestone and an eloquent testimony of our desire to cater for the welfare of Police personnel and their families with dignity and also pursue vigorously, our vision to be one of the leading Pension Fund Administrators in Nigeria’’ He revealed further that the mission of the pensions fund is to provide quality customer and financial advisory services to stakeholders and adopt investment strategies that would yield the best possible returns on their pension assets.
A virtual and physical tour of the edifice was undertaken and led by the Hon. Minister of Police Affairs and dignitaries present. You may recall that the NPF Pensions Limited was established in 2014 and charged with the responsibility of managing Pension Assets of both Active and Retired Police Personnel.
